OCTOBER 12
Uganda v Benin
Angola v Niger
Cranes coach Bobby Williamson has returned to the country from Scotland where he had gone for a short break.
The Cranes face Benin’s Squirrels in a must win 2010 African Nations Cup/World Cup qualifier due on Sunday, October 12.
“Bobby is back in town just in time for the crucial match against Benin,” said Fufa publicist Rogers Mulindwa.
He rubbished claims that the Scot had traveled to attend his father’s burial because he is still alive.
The former Chester City coach will converge with the Fufa technical committee to name a new assistant coach. The position fell vacant after Sam Timbe left to coach Rwanda’s Atraco.
“The Cranes assistant coach will be known at the end of the day tomorrow (today). Bobby has also been invited to be part of the panel to come up with the final man,” Mulindwa said.
The Fufa technical committee has dropped right back Julius Mulindwa in favour of his Bunnamwaya counterpart Edward Ssali.
Fufa has also set Shs10, 000 for open stands and Shs20, 000 for VIPs as the entry charges for the match against Benin.
