Nalubaale FC’s Romanian coach Dorian Marin faces the sack today unless his team can beat Boroboro in the National Super League. Marin needed Police protection after fans rioted in protest against his presence at the club.
Nalubaale have lost two game in a row. They fell to Bunnamwaya 0-1 and 1-2 to Simba, much to the chagrin of the fans who were baying for his blood. Boroboro coach George Lutalo is also facing a similar fate unless he can come up with a result at Buikwe.
“Nalubale was just lucky to beat us last season. Because of the GTV schedule, both rounds of our games were played at Nakivubo. This time we are going to humiliate them in their own backyard because we can not travel that long journey and we easily succumb to a defeat,” club official Dennis Akwa said.
Boroboro is boosted by the return of first choice goalkeeper Frank Oringa from Kampala City Council FC and the timely recovery of Jacob Ottong who was the club’s leading scorer with seven goals last season.
Elsewhere, Kakungulu Cup winners Victors FC host Express FC at Kakindu Stadium as Moses Basena’s Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) face Maji at Namboole. Bunamwaya faces Police at Nakivubo Stadium.
