URA return to league without Wagaluka

URA will take on Maji in  a Super Division soccer league game today determined to prove that there is still life at the club even without play maker Dan Wagaluka.

The pocket-sized midfielder finally left for week-long trials in Scotland on Wednesday taking with him the club’s ‘heart and soul’.

However at Namboole, URA coach Moses Basena will challenge his charges to prove to domestic football that the 2006 league champions have never been a one-man team.

Club lead striker Martin Muwanga has had a fine season so far with three goals and a place in the Cranes team as the reward for his exploits.

Muwanga will yet again lead the club’s strike force in a game the tax collectors must win to keep in touch with table leaders KCC FC.

At the same time, Patrick Ochan and Martin Muwanga have been called to Cranes squad of 23 players to prepare for the away World/Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger on September 7.
