Wagaluka begins trials at Inverness

URA FC’s midfielder Dan Wagaluka has left for Scotland to start professional trials with at Scottish Premier League side, Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC.

URA official Nixon confirmed Wagaluka departure for professional trials.

“Wagaluka is joining the Scottish team for trials and if all goes well, we hope to conclude the deal before the transfer deadline at the end of the month,” he told KickOffEastAfrica.com.

“We also sent them some video recordings of his Cranes games,” the official added.

If deal goes through the 22- year- old will become the second Ugandan player to join Scottish football.

Last week, David Obua was granted a work permit to join Hearts.

URA signed Wagaluka from SC Villa 16 times Uganda champions in 2004. He helped the team to the league title in 2007. He is also a regular in the Cranes.

He move to Inverness ended speculation that he would join his former coach former Cranes coach Laszlo Csaba at Hearts.
