Kampala

RESULTS
KCC 2-0 Iganga
SC Villa 6-0 Sharing
Maji 3-2 Boroboro
Express 0-0 Mbarara
Simba 1-0 Victors
Youfra 0-3 Nalubaale
Kinyara 2-1 Police

Emmanuel Okwi continued his excellent start to the season when he scored in his fourth consecutive game as SC Villa demolished league debutantes Sharing FC 6-0 in a GTV Super League game played yesterday at Namboole.

Okwi’s hat-trick and Andrew Nkurunungi’s brace put Villa right in the thick of the race for the league title. Stephen Bengo also netted for the record champions.

Champions Kampala City Council FC meanwhile won their fourth game in a row to open up a three point advantage atop the table. Patrick Ssenfuka netted his third goal as a substitute as George Nsimbe’s side beat Iganga Town Council 2-0.

Nsimbe has remarkably won 17 of his 18 games since taking charge of KCC. In Masindi, goals from Hesborn Mundia and Sam Nadduli gave Leo Adraa’s Kinyara all three points as they edged 2005 champions Police 2-1.

Peter Ssenyonjo netted Police’s consolation goal. In Bombo, Sam Simbwa’s Simba beat Paul Mukatabala’s Victors 1-0 to move into second place on the league table.

But five-time league champions Express FC failed to build on their good start to the season when they were held to a barren draw by ten-man Mbarara United.

Nalubaale FC meanwhile hit newly promoted Youfra 3-0 to offer a respite to troubled coach Dorian Marin.
