Sekagya sent off for Red Bulls

Uganda Cranes skipper Ibrahim Sekagya was sent off in Red Bull Salzburg’s 3-2 defeat away to Austria Vienna at the weekend.
The defeat, first of the season, denied them going top of the table. They slipped to fifth place with 11 points from six matches, two off leaders Sturm Graz. It was also the first defeat of the season under their new Dutch coach Jacobus Adriaanse.

The 28-year-old defender, who was the captain of the day, received his marching orders in the 82th minute for a second bookable offence with the score level at 2-2.

Red Bull were 2-0 up on the hour with goals by Anis Boussaidi (2nd min) and Marc Janko (56th), but the home side hit back, first by Mario Bazina (62nd), then Okotie (70th) before Senegalese Mamadou Diabang scored the winner in the 90th minute.

Sekagya was voted Player of the Year by his Austrian club last season. He joined the club last July from Argentina side Arsenal de Serandi for 1.5-million Euros.
