Okwi hits a brace as SC Villa outwits Kakira

Super League:
SC Villa 4 Kakira 1
KCC 2 Youfra 0

EMMANUEL Okwi is a man on form and enjoying every bit of his life at Villa Park. The 24-year-old yet again proved decisive against league debutantes Kakira at Namboole Stadium, with a well-taken brace that inspired SC Villa to a 4-1 win over the Jinja-based team.

Villa will certainly hate being labeled a one-man team but the club’s second consecutive win yesterday justified why the Jogoos do not need Oscar Kadenge after all.

Okwi, who had scored in two of Villa’s previous matches, outwitted left Kakira players to plunder his first season double in the second half.

Chrisestom Ntambi scored Villa’s third. Geoffrey Luutu had opened the scoring for the side. Ali Okito pulled one back for Kakira from the spot.

At Nakivubo Stadium, KCC FC impressive start to the season gathered momentum with goals by Sam Mubiru and Vincent Kayizzi after the break.

Meanwhile, URA’s Dan Wagaluka left for Scotland yesterday for trials with first division side Iverness.
